Loops, Beats and Production
RnJ is a producer duo based in Finland, who use the soundscape of old school R&B music and seamlessly combine it with modern pop music production. The two producers met in college, and during their first beatmaking session immediately hit it off because of their different approaches to music, one inspired by the dark synth filled trap sound of producers like Metro Boomin and BNYX, and the other by the smooth contemporary R&B tunes of artists like Brent Faiyaz and BLK ODYSSY. They found these two different sounds complimented each other perfectly, and were able to create an unique sound and a lane for themselves in a genre that is starting to become polarized. In their early production journey together they have already found success internationally in three different continents, crafting songs for artists whose genres span all the way from chilled out afrobeat to hard-nosed street rap.
Here’s an example of our loop ending up in Los Angeles. This was also the first placement we got together as a duo.
